Wine Vinegars

 


Champagne Wine Vinegar
Crisp, light and dry, use this Champagne vinegar in any recipe calling for a white vinegar to contribute added elegance. Delicious in any vinaigrette or tossed with steamed vegetables.

Lambrusco Wine Vinegar
Lambrusco Vinegar has a lush viscosity depth and wonderful sweetness. Sour-sharp and swooningly sweet with a bit of fizzy, and a touch of berry. The lambrusco grape grows only in the Southern tier of Lombardy, parts of Emilia Romagna and Veneto. Made from the long natural maturation of Lambrusco wine and aged in oak barrels. It is completely natural and contains no colorants or preservatives.Although this is technically a wine vinegar, it is sweeter than the other wine vinegars that we carry so it is almost in a category of its own. It is also thicker than our other wine vinegars, yet not as thick (viscous) as our balsamic vinegar.

Sherry Wine Vinegar
A gourmet wine vinegar made from sherry, it is a particularly flavorful component of a vinaigrette or used to enhance and deepen the flavor of your favorite soups, stews, sauces and casseroles. The sherry wine used for this vinegar was aged for eight years prior to the conversion to vinegar.

White Wine Vinegar
Produced from California Chardonnay, enjoy this mild light white vinegar in your favorite salad dressing or use to deglaze the pan after searing your favorite protein for a nice sauce. As with all wine vinegars, this vinegar has a tendency to “mother” very easily, especially if introduced to heat while being stored. The vinegar was fermented in French oak barrels for a period of six-to-eight months.

Toasted Sesame Oil
Sesame seed oil has a high proportion (41%) of polyunsaturated (Omega-6) fatty acids and is also a great source of anti-oxidants. It is often used as a flavor enhancer in Chinese, Japanese, Middle Eastern, Korean, and Southeast Asian cuisine. Great for stir frying of meats, vegetables or even an omelet.

Like olive oil, avocado oil is pressed from the pulp surrounding the pit. It is great for sautéing or frying as it has an unusually high smoke point.
