Olive Oil Marinade Base
- 1 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar (or apple cider, white wine or sherry vinegar.)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- salt and pepper to taste
Put all ingredients in a jar and shake, shake shake
Put chicken or your choice of meat in a bowl, add two cloves of chopped garlic and some fresh rosemary.
Marinate in the fridge for at least two hours (up to maybe 8 hours or so), stirring it periodically.
Grill to you preference and enjoy.
This marinade is also great on vegetables. It would also work if you like an oil based steak marinade.
